Over the last decade, former Navy Secretary Richard J. Danzig, a prominent lawyer, presidential advisor and biowarfare consultant to the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security, has urged the government to counter what he called a major threat to national security.

Terrorists, he warned, could easily engineer a devastating killer germ: a form of anthrax resistant to common antibiotics.

U.S. intelligence agencies have never established that any nation or terrorist group has made such a weapon, and biodefense scientists say doing so would be very difficult. Nevertheless, Danzig has energetically promoted the threat — and prodded the government to stockpile a new type of drug to defend against it.

Danzig did this while serving as a director of a biotech startup that won $334 million in federal contracts to supply just such a drug, a Los Angeles Times investigation found.

By his own account, Danzig encouraged Human Genome Sciences Inc. to develop the compound, and from 2001 through 2012 he collected more than $1 million in director’s fees and other compensation from the company, records show.

The drug, raxibacumab, or raxi, was the first product the company was able to sell, and the U.S. government remains the only customer, at a cost to date of about $5,100 per dose. A number of senior federal officials whom Danzig advised on the threat of bioterrorism and what to do about it said they were unaware of his role at Human Genome.

Dr. Philip K. Russell, a biodefense official in the George W. Bush administration who attended invitation-only seminars on bioterrorism led by Danzig, said he did not know about Danzig’s tie to the biotech company until The Times asked him about it.

“Holy smoke—that was a horrible conflict of interest,” said Russell, a physician and retired Army major general who helped lead the government’s efforts to prepare for biological attacks.

Two suspected terrorists were killed and one was arrested after Russia’s FSB foiled a terror attack in Moscow. The captured militant has been hospitalized with fractures and a gunshot wound, but is reportedly able to talk to investigators.

“Our forceful actions prevented an attempted act of terror in the capital,” the National Anti-Terror Committee said in a statement. “According to some information, the militants were under surveillance during the past month,” a source from one of the intelligence agencies told RIA Novosti.

It was not specified where the terror attack was planned to take place. But, a source in one of Russia’s intelligence agencies told RIA Novosti, it was to be in central Moscow. “The information about the specific location is not being made public in the interests of the investigation,”the source said.

The three men are “Russian citizens, arrived from Afghan-Pakistani region, where they have been trained,” the committee said. All three are said to practice Islam. As FSB forces approached the house in a small town in the Moscow region and demanded the suspected militants to surrender, the men opened fire in response.

“In the exchange of fire two of them were killed and one detained,” the statement reads. One Special Forces officer has sustained a wound of his leg and was taken to local hospital. There are no casualties or injuries among civilians.

One gunman sustained a gunshot wound and fractures after he jumped out of the window when FSB officers arrived. He was hospitalized. His condition is stable, and investigators plan to begin interrogating him in the coming days.

“The main task is to get information about possible accomplices in the Moscow region to compare with data obtained during the surveillance operation conducted prior to detention,” Interfax quoted its source as saying.

The FSB also seized the militants’ passports: “It is possible that the [passports] are fake… In addition, their fingerprints have been taken, they will be sent on a fingerprint examination,” the source said. Some reports suggest that the militants underwent training in Pakistan’s Northern Waziristan, however, it is unknown which group they belong to.

“The information about their possible involvement in the ‘Islamic movement of Uzbekistan’ is being checked. Moreover, special forces are trying to find out if there were contacts and connection with militants among Moscow regions residents,” RIA Novosti reported, citing an intelligence agency source.

Pakistan’s North Waziristan, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan, has been an international flashpoint in the War on Terror, particularly against the Pakistani Taliban. However, the group continues to operate in the region.

According to the militants’ neighbors, there was a blast in the apartment building last week, Lifenews tabloid reported. Residents in the apartment adjacent to the one rented by the suspected terrorists believe the incident was a gas explosion.

“The blast was as strong that shattered windows were all over the road,” neighbor Irada told Lifenews of last week’s incident. “They [militants] were there picking them up. In our apartment a louver was knocked out [by a blast wave].” Neither Irada nor her husband called emergency services, but notified a landlord, who said that her tenants were doing renewal.

Moscow has seen a number of sporadic terrorist attacks in the past years with the last one taking place in the arrival zone of local International airport Domodedovo in January 2011.  Thirty-six people were killed and over 180 injured. In March 2010, the Moscow Metro bombings killed 41 people and injured about one hundred.

One of the most powerful tools in the arsenal of the grass roots food freedom fight is social media.  Google, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and many more networks allow people to instantly connect and provide a platform for information to be passed on exponentially. Facebook and Google are the two biggest websites in the entire world, and their reach is nearly unlimited.

Last week, the Monsanto Company made it very clear that they were under the gun via social media, and they went on the defense, weakly claiming that those who object with their toxic seeds and deadly farming methods were “elitist,”  thereby attempting to undermine us as snobbish people who don’t see the big picture and who don’t care about world hunger.

This week, they’ve upped their game.  Mysterious things have been occurring on the social networks: posts have disappeared, some posts are hidden from the timelines of readers, and trolls abound on pages promoting this weekend’s March Against Monsanto, happening worldwide on May 25.

Like any cornered rat, the leviathan seed company can see the very large threat coming their way, and it appears that they are pulling out all the stops to fight as dirty as they can.  But the movement against the company is so powerful, that despite paid-off politicians and billions of dollars in the war chest, Monsanto knows that they’ve been outmatched.  What we’re seeing now are the last, desperate attempts to keep the general public from learning about the manmade global disaster that was created by Monsanto.

The International Religious Freedom Report is put together every year. The findings for 2012 demonstrate an increase in anti-Islamic sentiment in Europe and Asia. The report specifically mentions Belgium, wich has banned face-covering religious attire in classrooms, and India, which has also imposed restrictions on headscarf wear in schools.

Venezuela, Egypt, and Iran were mentioned as countries with growing anti-Semitism. According to the report, on October 19, in response to a religious leader’s call to “destroy the Jews and their supporters”, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi said “amen”.
The report was unveiled by John Kerry, following which the US Secretary of State appointed Ira Foreman the new special envoy on anti-Semitism. Foreman was in charge of appealing to Jewish voters as part of Barack Obama’s pre-election campaign last year.

India’s Ministry of Environment and Forests has decided to forbid the keeping of captive dolphins for public entertainment anywhere in the country.

In a policy statement released Friday, the ministry advised state governments to reject any proposal to establish a dolphinarium “by any person / persons, organizations, government agencies, private or public enterprises that involves import, capture of cetacean species to establish for commercial entertainment, private or public exhibition and interaction purposes whatsoever.”

The statement issued by B.S. Bonal, the member secretary of the Central Zoo Authority of India, acknowledges that cetaceans in general do not survive well in captivity, saying, “Confinement in captivity can seriously compromise the welfare and survival of all types of cetaceans by altering their behaviour and causing extreme distress.”

Noting that India’s national aquatic animal, the Ganges River dolphin, as well as the snubfin dolphin are listed in Schedule-I and all cetacean species are listed in Schedule II part I of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972, the ministry said it is important to protect these endangered species from captivity and exploitation.

“Whereas cetaceans in general are highly intelligent and sensitive, and various scientists who have researched dolphin behavior have suggested that the unusually high intelligence; as compared to other animals means that dolphin should be seen as ‘non-human persons’ and as such should have their own specific rights and is morally unacceptable to keep them captive for entertainment purpose,” the ministry said.

The grassroots Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organization, FIAPO, was pleased with the decision. This group took the lead in campaigning to ban dolphinaria in India, meeting with key ministry officials and garnering local grassroots support.

FIAPO spokesperson Puja Mitra called the decision “a huge victory for the dolphins!” “India has become a beacon of hope for the global movement to protect cetaceans from captivity, and we thank Minister Jayanthi Natarajan for setting the benchmark in animal protection for the world,” Mitra said.

FIAPO has been working with their partners Born Free Foundation, Global Green Grants Fund, Earth Island Institute’s Dolphin Project and Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation to bring about this prohibition in India for the past year. Ric O’Barry, a former dolphin trainer who now serves as director of the U.S.-based Earth Island Institute’s Dolphin Project, applauded India’s new policy.

“This is a huge win for dolphins,” said O’Barry. Not only has the Indian government spoken out against cruelty, they have contributed to an emerging and vital dialogue about the ways we think about dolphins – as thinking, feeling beings rather than pieces of property to make money off of.”

Chinese hackers have resumed attacks on America three months after hackers, who worked for a cyber unit of China’s People’s Liberation Army, went silent amid evidence that they had stolen data from scores of American companies and government agencies.

The hackers appear to have resumed their attacks using different techniques, according to computer industry security experts and American officials.

According to the New York Times, Unit 61398, whose well-guarded 12-story white headquarters on the edges of Shanghai became the symbol of Chinese cyber power, is back in business, according to American officials and security companies.

It is not clear precisely who has been affected by the latest attacks. Mandiant, a private security company that helps companies and government agencies defend themselves from hackers, said the attacks had resumed but would not identify the targets, citing agreements with its clients.

The hackers were behind scores of thefts of intellectual property and government documents over the past five years, according to a report by Mandiant in February that was confirmed by American officials.

According to the report, they have stolen product blueprints, manufacturing plans, clinical trial results, pricing documents, negotiation strategies and other proprietary information from more than 100 of Mandiant’s clients, predominantly in the United States.

Mandiant said that the Chinese hackers had stopped their attacks after they were exposed in February and removed their spying tools from the organizations they had infiltrated. It added that over the past two months, they have gradually started attacking the same victims from new servers.

A group of Russian military observers will carry out two inspection missions over the US under the Open Skies Treaty between May 19 and June 3, the Russian defence ministry said.

The Russian inspectors, accompanied by US officials, will fly on board a Tupolev Tu-154 LK-1 plane from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and the Travis Air Force Base in California.

These will be the 14th and 15th observation missions carried out by Russian inspectors over territories of Open Skies Treaty member countries this year.

The Open Skies Treaty, which entered into force Jan 1, 2002, establishes a regime of unarmed aerial observation flights over the territories of its 34 member states to promote openness and the transparency of military forces and activities. Russia ratified the deal in May 2001.

The so-called Monsanto Protection Act signed into law earlier this year caused such an outrage that people around the world are planning to protest the biotech company later this month. Now a United States Senator is expected to try and repeal that law after mounting pressure.

The notorious ‘Monsanto Protection Act’ rider stuffed into the non-related Senate spending bill may soon be repealed thanks to the massive amounts of activism and outrage that have now amounted into a legislative charge towards action.

Action that has turned into legislation progress through Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon, who has announced an amendment that would remove Section 735 (the Monsanto Protection Act as its known) from the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2013 Senate spending bill.

The rider, which almost managed to slip incognito and pass by the alarm system of the alternative media, grants GMO juggernaut Monsanto full immunity from federal courts in the event that one of its genetically modified creations is found to be causing damage to health or the environment. Essentially, it grants Monsanto power over the United States federal government. Thankfully, I was able to get on the subject through news tips and covered the Monsanto Protection Act all the way up until the bill containing it was signed into law by Obama.

Ultimately, as the Monsanto Protection Act became more a hot issue, we had an increasing amount of publicity — but the Senate vote came just too quickly for the attention to put a halt on the rider. But even after its passing, sources like Russia Today, NaturalNews, Infowars, and myself here at NaturalSociety were sounding the alarm big time. Enough so that it even led to an apology from the top Senator who actually ended up approving the bill containing the rider.

Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland actually went and released a statement apologizing for allowing the Monsanto Protection Act through and vowing to fight against GMOs and Monsanto. Ultimately, multiple Senators had entered damage control after the jig was up. That is besides Senator Roy Blunt from Missouri, who actually worked with Monsanto (as in he let them write it while he received funding) on the Monsanto Protection Act rider. A rider he says is perfectly reasonable. After all, why not give Monsanto full immunity from the legal system the rest of us are subject to?

Even Obama was getting blasted on his Facebook page following the approval of the Monsanto Protection Act, with the majority of comments coming into his page criticizing his signature on the bill that contained the rider.

Thanks to this activism, it looks like the Monsanto Protection Act may soon be repealed after this new bill hits Washington. This time, we will have plenty of time to let the Senators know that they are voting against the public if they choose to side with Monsanto. And with such a specific agenda for this bill, I see it doing well in the Senate.

The upward pressure of ongoing scandals is moving into the White House. Benghazi, AP, IRS.

The president’s surrogates are trying out their lying skills.

Jay Carney: The situation at the IRS isn’t really a scandal, depending on what the definition of “is” is. And if one uses the passive voice, that’s acceptable, as in “mistakes were made.”

Hillary Clinton: It doesn’t matter how and why Americans were killed in Benghazi. They died. We’re alive. We move on.

Steven Miller, retiring/ousted head of the IRS: We gave bad customer service. Who at the IRS is guilty? I asked someone and they told me, but I don’t remember what they said.

Eric Holder: If something bad happened at my agency in relation to spying on AP reporters, I don’t know what it is, because I’ve recused myself. Other people under me are investigating the whole thing. I don’t know who these investigators are. I have to remain ignorant, in order to be objective.

Inside the White House, key players are saying: “Okay, we’ve deleted four thousand emails. That doesn’t sound like enough. Keep looking. Keep deleting. Destroy the computers. And paper. There’s still paper. Order new shredding machines. Check everybody’s schedules and logs of meetings. Make sure they don’t overlap in suspect ways…”

Remember the old phrase “plausible deniability?” The people around the president commit crimes and make sure the president doesn’t know about them. Or if he does know, or if he ordered the crimes to be committed, his people erase the links that would lead to his exposure.

It’s a game. Can the president be protected? Can he deny knowledge and make it stick? Can anyone prove he’s guilty? Can he fire a few underlings and make the whole thing go away?

Of course, the president chose those people around him. He chose criminals who will protect him. That’s true, but it’s not part of the plausible-deniability board game. It doesn’t count.

Magically, the president is pure. He just happened to err in judgment and choose a bevy of criminals to work close to him. What was he thinking?

The president is innocent. Everybody else is guilty. Amazing.

The public (aka the television audience) waits with baited breath to discover what the president really knew and what he didn’t know. Because that’s the story line, and story line is, above all else, what’s important.

The scandals are spreading like ink on a blotter. Gee, I wonder if the president knew about this? I wonder if he was part of this. How will it end? I have to keep watching, to find out. If I already know, there’s no suspense. That’s no fun. I have to remain ignorant and follow the news. That’s exciting.

If it merely and magically turns out that the president chose 16 pathological liars and felons as his closest advisers, he’s off the hook. He’s fine. If he actually took part in committing crimes, that’s a whole different thing.

Not only is a sucker born every minute, the suckers that are already here are getting more stupid by the hour.

“In retrospect, it may appear odd that I appointed Jack the Ripper as my national security adviser, but at the time I only knew him as a distinguished physician. His record was spotless. Yes, mistakes were made. But now the Ripper is no longer on my staff, and I pledge we will fix the damage he caused. That’s what important. Fixing it as we move forward…and preventing it from happening again.”

So far, the press is circling the blood in the water like minnows. They’re sipping a bit here, a bit there. Benghazi, the worst of the crimes, is fading from memory. It’s old news. “It’s already been covered.”

AP is claiming that the DOJ started spying on its reporters after AP was told by the White House that it, the AP, could run with the Yemen-CIA story, and therefore the spying op was launched for some other reason.

This is a potentially explosive revelation, but it hasn’t become a major story—even though the AP itself is a consortium owned by major press outlets.

Fast&Furious? Deaths? Murders? Guns walked into Mexico? That happened light years ago. It’s history. Let the scholars take care of it.

There’s a lever that could be pulled, at which point all these scandals will flood the Oval Office, but it hasn’t been pulled yet. It’s in the hands of the people who really run and own this country.

They’re counting their chips at the moment and deciding who should fall and who should remain standing. They’re the Trilateral Commission and the inner core of the CFR. They represent corporations and banks who calculate how much destruction they can wreak on America at any given moment, while still maintaining their profit margins and control.

They rely on the elite news media to dole out pieces of the story to eager millions, in the meantime. A piece here, a piece there. The AP has known about government spying on its reporters for months. CBS, NBC, and ABC have known about IRS diddling with non-profit status for months.

Television news is the moonscape where simulacra of truth are manufactured on call. It doesn’t really matter when. Time as we know it no longer exists. Scandals are real when the networks say they are real.

High-IQ idiots like Brian Williams, Scott Pelley, and Dianne “I’ll cry for you” Sawyer take their cues from sources who, themselves, are tuned up when the owners of the US are ready to go.

There is no authentic beginning, middle, and end of these scandal-stories. There are only fabricated time lines.

A great deal of mass mind control depends on public hunger for a traditional arc of plot. The public wants a shocking revelation (beginning), followed by an increasing tide of new evidence (middle), and judgment day (ending), when the suspects are declared guilty or sort of guilty, or innocent (ignorant).

It doesn’t matter what the tale is or who is involved, as long as the transitions are managed and experienced, like porn.

Evidence of guilt leading to Obama? That’s relevant only in the context of the real decision-makers pulling the levers or not pulling them.

Every president knows everything. He knows it well before he takes his oath of office. He’s the mouthpiece for a crime syndicate. It’s point one in the job description.

Only little children would think otherwise. Fortunately for the high-level criminals, the world is populated with little children of all ages.

“The buck stops here” was never descriptive of what a president does. The sign on his desk should read: “I’m a front man. It’s all a mystery to you kiddies out there.”

The Barack Obama Foundation (BOF), a non-profit for President Obama was given tax-exempt status while Patriot groups were shelved and harassed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) made this information public. The NLPC exposed this organization as a fake charity that asked for donations before it was officially filed as a non-profit.

BOF enjoyed a speedy approval, signed by Lois Lerner, director of Tax Exemption Division of the IRS.

In 2012, several members of Capitol Hill, including Senators Chuck Schumer and Al Franken, wrote a letter encouraging the probe into Patriot groups by the IRS under the claim that these organizations were masquerading as “social welfare organizations” when they were really attempting to sway political temperament.

It is coming to light that even the US government’s acquisition of General Motors and how the US Treasury profited from that allocation is tied to the IRS scandal.

Defending the IRS actions toward Patriot groups, former acting director Steve Miller told the House Ways and Means Committee (HWMC) that this practice “is absolutely not illegal.”

Miller claimed amnesia of the hearing; stating that he could not remember who was responsible for targeting Patriot groups.

House Representative Kevin Brady said at the HWMC hearing: “Is this still America?’ he asked him. Is this government so drunk on power that it would turn its full force, its full might, to harass, and intimidate, and threaten an average American who only wants her voice, their voices heard?”

HWMC chairman Dave Camp pointed out to Miller that “this systemic abuse cannot be fixed with just one resignation. And as much as I expect more people need to go, the reality is this is not a personnel problem. This is a problem of the IRS being too large, too powerful, too intrusive and too abusive of honest, hardworking taxpayers.”

Camp also said that this IRS scandal depicts a “culture of cover-ups” and that the Obama administration has intentionally used “political intimidation” to silence those who speak out against them.

Camp said: “This appears to be just the latest example of a culture of cover-ups — and political intimidation — in this administration. It seems like the truth is hidden from the American people just long enough to make it through an election.”

Mainstream media (MSM) figured out that this scheme was kept under wraps until after the last Presidential Election.

In an ironic twist, Sarah Hall Ingram, former commissioner of the tax-exempt division at the IRS during 2009 – 2012 has been promoted to the director of the IRS in-charge of the Affordable Care Act office.

While Ingram is installed, her successor, Joseph Grant, is being demonized for the scandal between 2010 – 2012. This has prompted Grant to announce his “retirement”.

Ingram has profited from bonuses totally more than $41,000 for the years she was involved in the targeting of Patriot groups.

Senator Max Baucus is convinced that this “train wreck” will produce “a lot more” to be revealed.

Baucus said: “It’s broader than the current focus. And I think it’s important that we have the hearings, and I think that will encourage other information to come out that has not yet come out. I suspect that we will learn more in the next several days, maybe the next couple three weeks which adds more context to all of this.”
