British Prime Minister David Cameron’s Conservative Party members have been caught up in a cocaine snorting scandal, after evidence of drugs were found at the party’s conference venue last week.

Shortly after Cameron’s closing speech to delegates in Birmingham, the Daily Star tested toilets in the conference venue for the presence of the mind-bending Class A drug.

The newspaper’s findings come a week after their investigators discovered traces of cocaine in a hotel taken over by the Labour party during its conference in Manchester. The newspaper has now obtained proof the drug was used inside the Conservatives’ conference centre.

In a toilet just a short walk from the hall where Cameron spoke of getting “Britain on the rise” there was evidence that conference visitors had been getting high. As delegates still mingled in the International Convention Centre (ICC), highly-accurate swabs indicated cocaine had been used in one of two cubicles in the men’s loos on level five of the centre, the report added.

In a cubicle of the men’s ground-floor toilets in the four-star Hilton Garden Inn, where scores of delegates were staying, evidence of cocaine was found. The finding, along with the positive test, inside the loo of the conference venue, will prove highly embarrassing for Cameron and his party.
