Kurt Sonnenfeld

Eleven years after 9/11, Voltaire Network has the privilege to present a newly released film containing undisclosed images, footage and documents about Kurt Sonnenfeld and his work at Ground Zero as videographer on assignment for the U.S. Government.

Sonnenfeld has been living in exile in Argentina since 2003.

Kurt Sonnenfeld worked for the United States government as official videographer and served as Director of Broadcast Operations for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)’s National Emergency Response Team. He also served with several other governmental agencies and programs for classified and “sensitive” operations at military and scientific installations throughout the United States.

On September 11, 2001, the area known as “Ground Zero” was sealed from the public eye. Sonnenfeld, however, was given unrestricted access enabling him to document for the investigation (that never took place) and provide some “sanitized” pool video to virtually every news network in the world. The video tapes are still in his possession.

In the short film presented below Sonnenfeld reveals for the first time some of the footage and images he recorded during his tour of duty at Ground Zero.
