Supporters of Lebanese Democratic Party leader MP Talal Erslan blocked the Khaldeh highway that leads to South Lebanon to protest against the distribution of cabinet portfolios in the new government of Prime Minister Najib Mikati. Erslan resigned from the cabinet shortly after its formation.
